I am looking for long term full time nanny and experienced home teacher to live and work with our family (Canadian/American/Brazilian) in Irvine, California for approximately 6 to 12 months per year. If 6 months, we would split with another person who also works the other six months each year. I am a single father with three children (8, 10, and 10 years old). We have lived in and the kids have grown up in Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Portugal, over the past 10 years, but we have just moved back home to Irvine, California (US) two months ago where we intend to live for the next few years. My kids study in a bilingual Mandarin and English school (50% in Mandarin and 50% in English) and also speak Portuguese and Spanish fluently. I am flexible as to which country you are from, but if you were from China/Taiwan or a Spanish or Portuguese speaking country, it is likely that your primary language of communication with my kids would be your native language (Mandarin, Spanish, or Portuguese). Otherwise, you would most likely be speaking English with the kids. The ideal candidate will work with our family for a minimum of 2 years, but if you are open to work with our family for the next 4 to 7 years if it is a good fit and it is working out well, then that is a plus. Also, I am open to two people each working six months per year as some candidates may have a restriction of spending up to 6 months per year in the US. I am also open to possibly introducing you to work witanother friends family the other six months of the year in a different country or yo As a single father who is working full time and has occasional travel (about 1 week a month), I am looking for someone who who will be a stable member of the family and provide a solid foundation to help kids with their daily routine, activities, online classes, and overall growth and development. A large part of your day during the week will be supporting the kids in their education. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have experience both with children and as a home school teacher. This would be a fully committed full time job working Monday to Friday from approximately 8.5 Hours a day 3:15pm to 10:15pm plus one hour in the morning from 7:15am to 8:15am (plus another flexible 3 hours throughout the week outside these hours). Plus Saturdays from 9:00am to 2:00pm and then from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. This accounts for You will be working approximately 53 hours per week or 220 hours per month. If there were any extra hours in emergencies that were agreed by both sides, we would establish an extra amount for those hours. Total Compensation would include, paid round trip air fare from your home country once per year, private room, board, phone, and transportation, with a private room plus US$1,600 additional cash per month. While I believe the ideal candidate is in their 30's to 60's who has already raised children or someone who has years of experience working as nanny and tutor/teacher as an integral part of another family with kids who have grown up with you, I am open to the possibility of someone who has experience raising and teaching kids who is younger who might want to come to the United States for 5-7 years and complete your college education while also working full time. The ideal candidate will be someone who is patient, good with children, and who has worked as a teacher in your home country. Here is our general routine with my kids. Kids usually return home around 3:20pm (They finish school at 3:15pm and we live across the street from the school). They usually have a mid afternoon small meal/large snack and have about 40 minutes of free time until 4:00pm. They usually have one hour online with their Mandarin teacher from 4:00pm to 5:00pm to support them with their Mandarin homework and school work. And another hour either online or working on their homework from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Generally, the kids have another hour of snacks, free time and play from 6:00pm to 7:00pm and then usually spend 7:00pm to 8:00pm to finish their homework. We usually have family dinner all sitting together at dinner table (with no devices). After dinner, the kids usually have another hour and a half to spend time on personal hobbies and projects if they have finished all their homework. Generally, they spend 10:00pm to 10:10pm getting ready for bed, packing their snacks for the next day, and organizing their backpack by the door for the next day. They then have the option to either go to sleep or to leisure read quietly in their own space. Most of the time, they choose to read a book quietly and then turn off the light on their own when they get tired or at 11:00pm latest. The kids usually wake up at 7:40am. My 10 year old daughter generally prefers to to spend extra time getting ready for school and leaves to school at 8:10am. My son and younger daughter usually prefer to get ready quickly in 5-10 minutes and then go to school early to play and eat breakfast at school
