**Job Summary and Responsibilities** Join our team as a Certified Sterile Processing Tech. In the Certified Sterile Processing Tech role you will: + Promote improved quality and improved patient safety in the OR by ensuring the efficient flow of the Sterile Processing department. + Perform routine tasks relating to the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, equipment and sterile supplies. Responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization equipment. + Maintain records in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission and OSHA standards. Maintains Certification, and monitors, instructs and mentors non-certified. + Facilitate awareness and understanding around what is at stake with patients in the OR. + Facilitate the department's preparation of staff to pass survey/regulatory assessments. **This is a PRN position (5 shifts scheduled in a 6-week period). This position is used to cover call-offs, vacations, and where coverage may be needed.
