Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and goal-oriented Sales Development Representative (SDR) to generate qualified sales appointments and contribute to the growth of SmartHRCheqs' client base. The SDR will be responsible for prospecting, outbound outreach, and setting meetings for Account Executives. This is a fast-paced role with opportunities for advancement based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate new business opportunities.
• Set qualified appointments with decision-makers for the Account Executive team.
• Follow up with leads from marketing campaigns, webinars, and website inquiries.
• Collaborate with marketing to personalize messaging by industry (healthcare, legal, insurance, professional services).
• Utilize HubSpot CRM to track all activities and maintain clean records of interactions and outcomes.
• Participate in daily team huddles, weekly reviews, and ongoing sales training.
• Continuously improve messaging through feedback, market trends, and objection handling.
• Meet or exceed monthly KPI goals, including meetings booked and outreach volume.
• Support pipeline growth by researching accounts and identifying target contacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• 1+ year of sales, lead generation, or customer service experience (B2B experience is a plus).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized and able to manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
• Self-motivated, competitive, and coachable.
• Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of the background screening industry or HR technology is a plus.

Compensation & Growth Path

• Base salary with performance-based incentives.
• $200 bonus per closed opportunity (after third meeting set in a month).
• Monthly quota: 6 meetings minimum (with a cap on inbound meetings).
• Promotion to Account Executive after three consecutive months of hitting or exceeding quota.

Training & Onboarding

The SDR will participate in a structured onboarding and training program, which includes:

• HubSpot CRM onboarding and SDR certification.
• SmartHRCheqs sales playbook walkthrough.
• EOS and company culture training.
• Industry learning (PBSA webinars, DiJulius customer service model).
• Daily check-ins, goal setting, and peer coaching.
• Access to ongoing sales tools, lead sources, and call scripts.
