Job Title: Polysomnographer / Sleep Technician
Location: Spokane, Washington
Pay Information: $40 to $48 per hour
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech to join a rehabilitation medical center on a travel contract. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of sleep study experience and proficiency in both adult and pediatric patient populations.
Responsibilities
Conduct baseline, diagnostic, and titration sleep studies.
Perform and score Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT) and Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests (MWT).
Monitor and document sleep stages, respiratory events, arousals, and cardiac/neurological abnormalities.
Fit and manage CPAP, BiPAP, VPAP, ASV, and oxygen delivery systems.
Educate patients on sleep study procedures and equipment usage.Maintain strict infection control and safety protocols.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy and rapid response teams.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of recent polysomnography experience .
BLS and RPSGT required (RPSGT strongly preferred).
Proficiency with PSG scoring and sleep staging.
Experience with pediatric and adult sleep studies.
Familiarity with sleep-related equipment (ResMed, Respironics, etc.).
Prior travel experience not required.
Preferred Skills
Pediatric sleep study experience (baseline, MSLT, MWT).
Proficiency in CPAP, BiPAP, VPAP, and ASV titration.
Strong knowledge of respiratory inductance plethysmography (RIP).
Mask fitting experience (full face, nasal, nasal pillow).
Ability to recognize and respond to cardiac and seizure-related events.
