Job Title: Piping DesignerJob Description Join our team as a Piping Designer, where you will work on modifying existing equipment within the oil and gas turbine industry. You will utilize CAD software to make necessary changes, leveraging your expertise in 2D and 3D piping design. This role involves using software such as AutoCAD and P&ID to enhance designs effectively. Responsibilities + Evaluate and modify existing equipment for the oil and gas turbine industry using CAD software. + Utilize AutoCAD and similar tools to make design changes. + Apply expertise in P&ID for design modifications. + Collaborate with a team of designers to provide input on projects related to oil and gas spills. + Conduct walk downs and manage chill packages. + Engage in 2D/3D modeling and CAD design. + Support various phases of project execution, including conceptual and detailed design, as well as construction support. Essential Skills + 6+ years of experience in piping design. + 6+ years of experience with AutoCAD and similar software. + Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, PDMS, PDS, SP3D). + Experience in the piping industry, specifically in oil and gas. + Strong understanding of industry standards, including ANSI and API codes. + Experience with 2D/3D modeling in CAD design. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Familiarity with various phases of project execution. + Experience in mechanical and pipe design engineering. Work Environment This position requires on-site work with a team of designers to complete projects for the end customer. The candidate will work both in an office setting and on-site to ensure project success. This role offers a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension, providing an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
