Get to Know Your Team:

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus, a part of a rich legacy of compassionate care since 1909, now offers 378 licensed beds, a history of innovation, and strong community support.

Responsibilities:

Observe and communicate the patient's needs to the Registered Nurse responsible for the patient's care.
Intervenes to protect the patient and to minimize the risk of injury by reorienting the patient, talking to the patient or calling for assistance.
Stays near the patient's bedside as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Efficiently responds to requests and needs with patient focus.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

High School diploma or GED.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

Prior work experience in a comparable setting.
Enrolled in Nursing Assistant or Practical Nursing Program.
