Job summary:

Key Skills & Experience The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with 7+ years of experience in security engineering. This role requires deep, in-depth knowledge of Azure and on-premise security environments, including a strong understanding of network security and firewalls.

Location: Cypress, California

Job type: Contract

Salary: $50 - 80 per hour

Work hours: 8am to 5pm

Education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7+ years in security operations or cybersecurity roles.
• Experience supporting security solutions across on-premises and cloud environments, including Microsoft 365 Security Suite, Azure Security Center, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Security Solutions, SIEM Platforms, Monitoring Tools, Incident Response, Automation and Alerting.
• In-depth understanding of cloud security best practices, IAM, RBAC, encryption, and zero-trust architectures.
• Experience with cloud monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Splunk.
• Effective communicator and collaborator, with mentoring experience.

Preferred:

• Certifications in CISSP, GIAC, CEH, or equivalent.
• Experience in cloud-based applications and environments.
• Must live in California.
