Job Description

A North American third-party logistics (3PL) firm is seeking to hire a Network Security Engineer to join their team in the Dallas area. With an expansive fleet of trucking, marine, and rail transportation assets, they provide comprehensive logistics solutions to a variety of industries across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. This contract-to-hire role will be directly responsible for administering systems to ensure network security, as well as developing response tactics to mitigate incoming threats.

With ongoing growth, the company continues to be a leader in the 3PL space, pioneering sustainability and efficiency in its transportation solutions. The industries that they serve span from construction to food-and-beverage to health care and beyond, so you will be directly contributing to protecting the assets of these vital enterprises. You will be using your expertise in network security to administer Palo Alto Firewalls, FortiGate Firewalls, and F5 Load Balancers. This role will also provide exciting opportunities for collaboration and leadership, as you mentor junior security engineers. Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
• 7+ years of experience in administering corporate firewalls and working with Panorama Experience and Global Protect VPN systems
• Knowledge of maintaining load balancers, as well as using OSI models in the context of enterprise networks
• Proficiency in Windows, Red Hat Linux, and Oracle Linux operating systems
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks at once, willing to work collaboratively in a team setting

Desired Skills & Experience

• Direct experience working with Palo Alto Firewalls and F5 load balancers
