We are a happy, active family who is looking for an au pair who can care responsibly and lovingly for 9 year old boy and 12 year old girl. The work is primarily spending time with the kids after school, picking them up from activities, helping them with homework, talking and playing with them. The mother is Venezuelan and the father is Ukrainian, so we are looking for someone who can help them strengthen their Spanish or Ukrainian language. The parents are well-educated, busy professionals who appreciate working with their au pair as a team. The parents also are devoted to family life, and the extended family is numerous, tight-knit, and gathers frequently. The job includes city driving and helping with light house keeping. The nanny may accompany the family on trips each year. The family lives in a central, yet quiet, neighborhood of Washington, pleasant for walking and convenient to transport and shopping.
