Housekeeping Team – Lakelyn Lodge (Boutique Hotel)

Location: Lakeville, PA
Job Type: Part-Time & On-Call, must be available weekends & holidays
Compensation: starting at $15.00 per hour, based on experience
Reports To: Hotel Manager

Position Summary

We’re hiring a housekeeping team (Housekeeper) to handle all aspects of room turnover and hotel cleanliness. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and have high standards for cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort.

Key Responsibilities

Daily/Turnover Duties:

• Clean and reset guest rooms thoroughly following checkout (not during stay)
• Change and launder all bedding and towels—either on-site or at an off-site laundry location
• Make beds to match marketing photo standards with consistent styling and presentation
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces, clean bathrooms, vacuum, dust, mop and restock amenities
• Empty trash and recycling and remove waste to on-site dumpsters
• Includes delivering guest requests and pick up of used items
• Conserve energy by closing shades and turning down AC and heat in unoccupied rooms
• Clean and maintain shared lounge area daily (vacuuming, surface wiping, tidying furniture, etc.)
• Restock in-room and common-area supplies (toiletries, towels, coffee stations, etc.)
• Notify management when supplies are low or inventory needs replenishing

Monthly/Deep Cleaning:

• Perform deep cleaning tasks monthly, including window washing, baseboard cleaning, high dusting, and carpet/furniture refreshes.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required (hospitality experience a plus)
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team depending on shift needs
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in presentation
• Ability to follow specific room styling instructions based on brand photos
• Comfortable with physical work including lifting linens, pushing carts, and standing for extended periods
• Must be available for weekend and holiday shifts
• Reliable transportation to/from hotel location

Uniform & Appearance

• Staff must wear a clean uniform or comply with dress code standards
• Professional, clean, and courteous demeanor expected at all times

Schedule & Flexibility

• Work is scheduled based on occupancy and check-out volume
• Hours are primarily between 9 AM – 4 PM but may vary depending on demand
• Must be flexible and responsive, especially on high-turnover days
