Full-Time Nanny

Busy, professional couple is seeking an experienced and professional nanny to care for their two school aged children, 7-year-old boy/girl twins. On school days, the nanny’s focus is getting the children prepared for and to school with a positive start to their day and managing the after-school routine and schedule. When the children are in school, the nanny will tend to child related household tasks, like cleaning up the children’s and general areas, but have downtime once those are completed. The ideal candidate for this role is calm but firm, safety-focused, values cleanliness and organization, and has a positive attitude. This family requires a nanny who can implement the parents wishes, can command respect from the children, and while friendly, realizes she isn’t the children’s friend. To be successful in this role, candidates must be team players, work together with the parents, and be confident and transparent communicators. Candidates who embrace a healthy lifestyle, limit technology and phone use, and foster independence, resilience, and curiosity in children would be a great match for this family. Candidates who have experience with school-aged children, strong personalities and with parents who are working professionals would be a great fit for this role. This family has cats, so candidates should be pet friendly. Schedule: Mon-Thurs 6:30a-7p and Fri 630a-6p
Duties will include:
• General childcare
• Tidying up after the children (family has housekeeper, but must keep children’s areas clean)
• Children’s laundry daily
• Organizing kids’ bedrooms and bathroom, clothes and school items
• Transporting the children
Compensation:
• Guaranteed consistent hours or 61.5 hrs per week
• Paid vacation
• Paid major holidays
• Mileage reimbursement
