ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF MILITARY AFFAIRS (DMA)
The mission of the Florida Department of Military Affairs is to provide management oversight of the Florida National Guard and provide units and personnel ready to support national security objectives; to protect the public safety of citizens and to contribute to the national, state and community programs that add value to the United States of America and to the State of Florida.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
All DoD certifications must be attained within twelve months of employment, including completion of the DoD Fire Protection School, DoD sponsored Career Development Courses (CDC) or equivalent certifications accredited by International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or national fire service accreditation.
***NOTE*** Applicants must submit a copy of their valid and active Florida Certification of Compliance as a Firefighter in order to be considered. Individuals with only DoD Certifications may challenge The State of Florida Certificate of Compliance for reciprocity with approval from the Florida Firefighter College.
