Job Description
The Operations Manager will supervise entry-level employees and is responsible for leveraging process and procedures to maximize productivity and ensure high-quality deliverables. Will also handle the allocation of the budget, administering adequate resources to support business operations for clients’ satisfaction and oversee various vendors and contracts.
Job Responsibilities
- Trains employees on proper and safe use of all equipment and chemicals. Ensures a safety moment and safety training is completed on a daily and/or weekly basis.
- Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including aligning with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations. Responds to safety concerns and escalates as needed.
- Respond to communication on a frequent basis and timely manner. Communication may come from Aramark email, client email, or phone calls.
- Disciplinary documentation and investigations must be completed in a timely manner and in alignment with the respective employee. Coaches, presents, and maintains confidentiality of disciplinary notices and investigations with the support of the next level manager and human resources.
- Maintains compliance with Aramark and Client standards, scope of work, Business Conduct Policy, and all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manages quality improvement initiatives for areas of responsibility and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Moderate experience with basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC/R.
- Lead document management activities to ensure policies and procedures are followed and practices comply with regulations.
- Recruits, interviews, and makes hiring decisions.
- Ensures adherence to assigned tasks and corrects inefficiencies.
- Reviews, edits, and approves timecards in timekeeping system.
- Recognize employees.
- Effectively coaches and trains employees utilizing methods that support each individual’s learning style to develop employees to success and promotability. Works alongside team, as necessary.
- Model professional behavior and language
- Supports a diverse team of employees with equity and inclusivity.
- Completes daily inspections to ensure quality.
- Required to complete assigned yearly training in a timely manner. (LMS)
- Computer use is required. Highly proficient with MS word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and ability to learn various software systems to support the position. Maintain a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Reviews work orders to prioritize and understand supplies and labor required to complete the project.
- In order to meet Aramark and Client business needs, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.
Qualifications
- Must be physically able to lift, lower, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
- Should be able to squat, kneel, and crouch frequently.
- Ability to work primarily indoors, however, outdoor travel or work to support the team may be necessary in any weather conditions.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a related field
- Requires High School diploma or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must be able to work efficiently and independently.
- Requires the ability to solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business in both the short and long term.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, assisting the team on inquiries and concerns, as well as resolving production complaints.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to respond quickly to changing demands.
- Strong customer service principles and practices are required.
- Must have the ability to influence without having direct authority.
- Must be able to deal with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
