Job Summary
The Delta One Lounge at JFK redefines luxury travel dining, a culinary destination featuring a full-service restaurant, curated market with grab-and-go selections, a iconic cocktail bar and much more. As Executive Sous Chef , you’ll serve as one of the Executive Chef’s key partners, helping lead a large, talented team in delivering refined, globally inspired cuisine to Delta’s most elite travelers. This role blends hands-on leadership, menu collaboration, and daily operational excellence in a dynamic, high-end environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the Executive Chef to oversee all culinary operations across the restaurant, market, and bar programs.
Lead and mentor sous chefs and culinary associates, ensuring flawless execution and consistency in every dish.
Support menu development, innovation, and seasonal updates reflecting Restaurant Associates’ and Delta One’s elevated culinary standards.
Maintain impeccable food quality, presentation, and portion control in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
Enforce all safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures across multiple kitchens and service outlets.
Manage labor, food costs, purchasing, and inventory to align with operational goals and budgets.
Foster collaboration with front-of-house and beverage teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or certification in Culinary Arts preferred.
4–7 years of progressive culinary leadership in fine dining, luxury hotel, or premium airline lounge environments.
Strong organizational and leadership skills, with experience managing large culinary teams across multiple concepts.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-profile environment where precision and presentation matter.
ServSafe Certification required.
