Job Title: Electrical Technician Location: Devens, MA Zip Code: 01434 Start Date: ASAP Job Type: 6-Month Contract Pay Rate: $34-$45/hr Depending on Experience Schedule: Onsite JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform electrical sub-system and system-level testing and validation. * Read and interpret electrical schematics, general layout drawings, simulation results, specifications, and engineering reports. * Conduct repeated subsystem-level inspection, installation, configuration, and commissioning tasks. * Work collaboratively as part of a team on advanced development and system implementation. * Proactively procure or build required tools, fixtures, or manipulation equipment to support scheduled testing. * Participate in design reviews and provide input to engineering teams from a testing and validation perspective. * Assist with root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and investigation of field failures. * Perform hands-on work with Low Voltage (<1000V) and Medium Voltage (>1000V up to 35kV) systems. * Collaborate closely with engineering teams to meet performance, safety, and testing requirements. * Adhere to all NEC, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety standards during all work activities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Associate"s degree in Electrical Technology or a related technical discipline, OR equivalent training/experience in electrical systems. * 3+ years of electrical experience demonstrating hands-on installation, testing, and validation. * Experience working with Low Voltage (<1000V) AC & DC systems over 120 Volts. * QEW training in Low Voltage and Medium Voltage systems, including Arc Flash Safety. * Experience with control hardware and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). * Knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70E electrical safety standards. * Experience working with Medium Voltage systems (>1kV up to 35kV). * Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to perform tasks such as typing, standing, and sitting for extended periods. * Willingness to travel or work nights/weekends/on-call as required. * Ability to work in an industrial environment containing hazards such as heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics. BONUS POINTS FOR: * Experience with lifting operations. * Knowledge of assembling subsystems and prototype systems. * Familiarity with highly complex electrical or electromechanical systems. * Experience in fast-paced construction, manufacturing, assembly, or integration environments. * Background working with complex mechanical or electromechanical systems.
