Job Title: Document Control Specialist
Location: Wheatfield, Indiana
Type: Contract
Compensation: TBD
Contractor Work Model: Onsite – Construction Site
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day

System One is recruiting for Document Control Specialist maintain the site drawing sets with the latest drawings, be available to print out the latest drawing if requested.

Document Controls Specialist’s Responsibilities:

• To process (incoming and outgoing transmittals) and distribute documentation per the project and Client’s department standards with attention to detail, quality, and accuracy to the project team throughout the life cycle of a project.
• Support to receive, check and validate the drawings, input the drawings & Quality documents into the Database System, verify the metadata of each file and ensure timely distribution of the documents.
• Support Project Controlling for establishing a document-based progress measurement system. This may include providing weekly reports throughout the life cycle of a project on the status of each document per the project requirements and maintaining the complete revision history of each document process throughout the project.
• Ensure that circulation durations for distribution list and cycle are tracked and any deviations (delays) are reported, as these may impact the project delivery schedule.
• Collecting the drawing meta data, verifying the current revision status of the documents and distributing them. (i.e. preliminary, approval, construction, erection and as built documentation etc.)
• Print and file hard copies of the documents and maintenance of updates to the document files.
• Provide support regarding document numbering.

Document Controls Specialist Requirements:

• Five (5) years’ experience of document controls supporting engineering documents and deliverable
• Experience with data entry and document management system
• Ability to operate Microsoft Office suite including SharePoint and experienced user with Excel
• Knowledge of Autodesk AutoCad
• Experience with file sharing (downloading, uploading , zip files, etc)
