Overview:
Schamel Family Dentistry in Centerville is looking to add a front desk/business assistant to our great team. We are a private, two-doctor practice. Office hours are Monday - Wednesday 8-5, Thursdays and Fridays 8-2. We are closed weekends. Applicants must be friendly, detail oriented, have good communication skills, be able to multi-task, and must be reliable and prompt. Previous experience with dental insurance and accounts is very desirable.

Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently
- Verify insurance information and process payments
- Maintain patient records accurately
- Submit dental insurance billing and coding procedures, and pre-authorizations to dental insurance companies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Manage dental office inventory and supplies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role
- Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft
- Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with medical scheduling and phone systems
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with ER (Electronic Records) systems
- Familiarity with dental office operations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
