Dental Hygienist - Bedford, MA
Compensation: $40 - $57 per hour
Full-time or Part-time (at least once a week)

About the Job
This position is for a family-owned dental practice located in Arlington, MA, and Bedford, MA. The Dental Hygienist will play a key role in ensuring patients receive quality preventive care and education. This role is best suited for someone who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and has strong communication skills. The work environment is modern, friendly, and centered around providing an excellent patient experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and evaluation of oral tissues, to identify signs of disease or abnormalities.
Take, process, and evaluate dental radiographs (x-rays) to assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning.
Administer preventive treatments such as fluoride applications and dental sealants.
Educate patients—children and adults—on proper brushing and flossing techniques, diet, and lifestyle habits.
Accurately document patient medical histories, treatment plans, and procedures performed using dental software.
Maintain strict infection control and sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dentist and other team members during patient exams and procedures.
Monitor and maintain dental hygiene supplies and equipment, reporting any issues or needs to management.
Qualifications :
At least 1-4 years of clinical experience.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene.
Current and valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Massachusetts.
CPR Certification or BCPR training preferred.
Proficient in dental software and charting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
