AERMOR is seeking a Database Administrator who will be responsible for the administration, development, and support of Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) databases and data management systems. This role involves installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of databases while ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) security policies. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with analysts, developers, system owners, and other stakeholders to enhance data integrity, validation, and accessibility.

This is not a remote position. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage Microsoft SQL databases and data management systems.
• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of database management systems.
• Implement data storage, retrieval, and querying solutions for optimized performance.
• Install and configure database software in alignment with security best practices.
• Implement DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists on database servers.
• Support database-related incident management, service level management, change management, release management, continuity management, and availability management.
• Oversee data compilation, cataloging, caching, and distribution processes.
• Create and manage database structures including indexes, clusters, snapshots, views, and rollback segments.
• Monitor database performance and perform tuning as needed.
• Write code for update queries and maintain data dictionaries and correction logs.
• Assist developers, analysts, and business process owners in testing new and modified data structures.
• Provide database consultation and recommendations on emerging technologies and architectures.
• Support ongoing database operations, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Maintain documentation on database enhancements and procedural guidelines for data downloads.
• Support prototyping, troubleshooting, testing, and production implementation.
• Develop data validation, exception reporting, and management alert reports.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have 3+ years of experience and SEC+ certification or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in SQL Administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint Online, and Integrated Development Environments (IDE).
