Job Description

Aramark is currently seeking a Concessions Manager to support Clemson University Athletics. The Concessions Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall concessions food and beverage programming with Clemson Atheltics, developing and maintaining strategies to optimize results.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and implementing programs and strategies that support the current and multi-year department business plan related to beverage alcohol
  • Develop and refine preparation and handling procedures that are consistent with employee abilities, equipment, facilities, and safe handling regulations
  • Be knowledgeable on current alcohol beverage trends and equipment innovation in the market
  • Ensure periodic quality checks for all products and services
  • Create and implement promotional plans to drive business
  • Assists in maintaining food and beverage policies and procedures to maintain quality, presentation, and service
  • Manage project timelines and budget positions
  • Assist the team with any and all events including caterings, conferences, banquets, and more as assigned from the Director of Concessions or General Manager.
  • Lead, mentor, engage and develop teams to maximize their contributions, including recruiting,assessing, training, coaching, and managing performance.
  • Ensure the adult beverage program appropriately connects to the Executional Framework.
  • Coach employees by creating a shared understanding of what needs tobe achieved and how to execute it.
  • Reward and recognize employees. 
  • Ensure safety and sanitation standards inoperation.
  • Develop and maintain effective vendor, client, and customer rapport for mutuallybeneficial business relationships.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard model.
  • Identify client needs and communicate operational progress.
  • Build revenue and manage budget which includes cost controls with regard tobeverage and labor. Adopt all Aramark processes and systems to eliminate custom/manual reports.
  • Accurately compute all menu costs as well as ongoing menu revisions.
  • Understand performance metrics, data, and order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins.
  • Implement and maintain Aramark agenda for both food and labor initiatives. Create value throughefficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management.
  • Consistent application of Aramark’soperating standards and processes with a particular focus on efficiencies in food standards.
  • Understand end-to-end supply chain and procurement processes and systems to ensure only authorized suppliers are used.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees.
  • Comply with allapplicable policies, rules, and regulations, including but not limited to those relating to safety, health, and wage and hour.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and education on industry trends.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of related experience required
  • Previous experience in a supervisor or manager level role in beverage, bar, or special events operationsrequired
  • Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships required
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication and client relation skills
  • Must be comfortable working in a collaborative team dynamic
  • Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. and ability to stand for extended periodsof time
  • Must have availability to work event-based hours including evening, weekend, and potentially holiday hours
