Job Overview

FireDEX Butler Inc is hiring a hands-on Carpenter to join our dynamic disaster restoration team. In this role, you'll perform high-quality carpentry while working directly with project crews to restore properties damaged by fire, water, and other disasters. You will play a vital role in delivering safe, efficient, and timely restoration services across residential, commercial, industrial, and government sectors.   • Interpret job scopes, blueprints, and specs to return properties to pre-loss condition.
  • Assist in job planning, material requisition, change orders, and close-out processes.
  • Assemble, cut, and fasten wood, drywall, and other materials for structural work.
  • Install sub-flooring, framing, drywall, roofing, siding, windows, and doors.
  • Perform basic electrical, plumbing, sealing, and painting tasks.
  • Set up temporary supports, scaffolding, ladders, and other safety gear.
  • Participate in demolition, cleaning, and restoration of fire- or water-damaged sites.
  • Support pack-outs, inventories, and emergency response setups.
  • Maintain job site safety, cleanliness, and OSHA compliance at all times.
  • Use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or technical training; OR 1+ years of carpentry experience.
  • Basic understanding of estimating and job costing.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs and safely walk on job sites including roofs and scaffolding.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime and rotating on-call duties.

Work Location

Based in Pennsylvania, with travel to client sites as required for restoration projects.
