The Assistant General Manager (AGM) will support the General Manager in overseeing all front-of-house (FOH) operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, hospitality, and guest satisfaction. This role requires a passionate, hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing team. The AGM will play a key role in staff development, service execution, and day-to-day operational excellence.
Leadership & Team Management
Assist the GM in leading, mentoring, and motivating the FOH team, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality.
Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and support ongoing training initiatives.
Assist with scheduling, staffing, and labor cost management.
Service & Guest Experience
Ensure seamless execution of service while maintaining MIKA’s elevated hospitality standards.
Act as a visible floor presence, engaging with guests and anticipating their needs.
Manage guest relations, responding promptly and effectively to feedback.
Operational Excellence
Oversee daily FOH operations, ensuring readiness for service, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the GM on developing and implementing SOPs to ensure consistency.
Assist in monitoring budgets, financials, and P&L performance.
Beverage & Culinary Collaboration
Partner with the Beverage Lead and Sommelier to enhance the wine and cocktail program.
Work closely with the culinary team to ensure menu knowledge and proper execution of service standards.
Administration & Reporting
Support in managing payroll, inventory, and purchasing.
Assist in maintaining accurate records of labor, revenue, and operational reports.
Contribute to marketing and promotional initiatives as needed.
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive management experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of service standards, wine, and beverage programs.
Proven ability to manage financial performance and achieve operational goals.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
