About the Role:

  • We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our dynamic team in creating, maintaining, and supporting Android mobile applications for shipboard operations.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and Android development, with experience in native application development.
  • The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy robust mobile applications.

Job Title: Android Mobile App Developer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Android mobile applications for shipboard operations.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and specifications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Java.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by users.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Android development.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users as needed.
  • Continuously optimize application performance and usability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in Android development using Java.
  • Strong understanding of the Android NDK, Android Studio, and related tools.
  • Experience with native application development for Android.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving user issues is a plus.
  • Knowledge of maritime operations or related industries is desirable but not required.

Location: Miami, FL 33178

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $105,000 - $115,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Benefits : The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Medical insurance, Dental insurance, Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, and 5 personal days accrued each calendar year. The Paid time off benefits meets the paid sick and safe time laws that pertain to the City/ State, 10-15 days of paid vacation time, 6 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday per calendar year, Ascendion Learning Management System.
